The Tops & Blouses bench

Tops are the biggest bench on the site because they are the half of an outfit that gets replaced first. Halife patterns keep to shapes that work with what you already own: a tunic that clears the hip over leggings, a V-neck blouse that reads dressed with a blazer, an off-the-shoulder tee for the days it is too hot for anything structured.

The 3/4 sleeve is the shape the studio argues about most and the one that sells hardest. It covers the upper arm, ends where a bracelet sits, and does not fight a jacket sleeve. Roll-tab versions turn into short sleeves when the afternoon warms up, and the card says which ones roll.

Necklines matter more than length here. V-neck, boat neck, notch, henley and off-the-shoulder each change what the top does with a necklace, a bra strap and a collarbone, so the card names the neckline before you open the page.

How it fits

Tops run true and are cut loose rather than fitted. If you want a tunic to cover the seat over leggings, take your usual size and check the length on the page. Between two sizes go down on a knit and up on a woven blouse.

What it does not do. A loose top is not maternity wear and is not cut for it. Nothing on this bench is lined, and a white or pale knit will show what is under it.

Between two sizes: measure the garment, read the fabric, and stop guessing
