The Dresses bench

A dress is the fastest outfit there is, and that is the whole reason this bench exists. The Halife workroom cuts most of them straight or lightly A-line, with the waist left alone rather than pinched, because a dress that skims is a dress you forget you are wearing by ten in the morning.

Three lengths carry the bench. Maxi falls to the ankle and hides whatever shoes you had time for. Midi stops mid-calf and is the length that reads dressed rather than casual. Mini sits above the knee and is the one people pack for heat. The card tells you which before you click, along with the neckline and the sleeve, because those three decide whether a dress works for your day.

Pockets show up on more of these than you would expect, and where they exist the card says so. Not every dress has them, and we do not pretend otherwise.

How it fits

Take your usual size. These run true and are cut loose through the waist, so between two sizes go down if you want the shape closer and up if you plan to wear it over a swimsuit. A maxi on a shorter frame will read as a floor length rather than an ankle length.

What it does not do. A summer dress is not lined unless the page says lined. A pale one in a light woven will be sheer in direct sun, and that is what a slip is for.
