Editorial Policy

The Halife team writes every description, guide and department page here. The name on a card is ours too: a search title runs past a hundred characters and names nothing, so we name a piece by its sleeve, its neckline and its shape.

The facts on a page come from the specification we hold for that piece. Where the label says nothing about a fibre percentage, a lining or a pocket, we leave the line out.

Where a claim belongs to the maker rather than to us, the page says so in those words, and we print a measurement in the unit the label uses.

Where a guide touches health or safety, we read the public guidance ourselves, quote it word for word, and print the date we read it beside the link.

Ratings belong to the piece they sit on. Sizes and colours of one style share a pool of ratings at our retail partner, so adding them up across a style would count the same review many times, and we never do it.
