The Jackets & Outerwear bench
The smallest bench on the site, and deliberately so. Halife makes jackets for the gap between a cardigan and a coat: the twenty minutes on a patio after sunset, the walk from a cold restaurant to a warm car, the flight that runs cold at altitude.
The bench, counted
| What the label says | Pages | Share of the bench |
|---|---|---|
| With pockets | 11 | 79% |
| Button front | 3 | 21% |
| Stretch stated on the label | 14 | 100% |
| 2XL and larger | 2 | 14% |
They are lightweight, zip or snap at the front and finish at the hip, so they sit over a dress without adding bulk at the waist. The pockets are real and the cuffs are ribbed on most of them, which is what keeps the sleeve from riding up when you push it back.
We keep the bench short on purpose. A jacket is bought less often and kept far longer than a top, so it earns its place by being the one you reach for, not by filling a page.
How it fits
Jackets run a size generous so they layer over a top. Take your usual size for wear over a tee, and expect it roomy over a cardigan.
What it does not do. None of these is waterproof or insulated, and no page here says otherwise. They cut wind and take the edge off an evening.
